I know that entrusting your inner life to a coach is no small thing. Committing to a coach involves a great deal of trust…trust in who you believe they are and more importantly, trust in yourself that this person is the right one for you.

I take your trust very seriously.

So, I want to explain more about coaching and my personal approach. Some questions you should ask me:

1) What do your credentials, ICF/ACC and GPCC mean?

I hold an ACC coaching credential with ICF, International Coaching Federation, as well as a Gestalt Professional Certified Coach certification from the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland.

ICF sets a rigorous standard for coaching ethics and professionalism, is committed to teaching and upholding the highest levels of competencies for their accredited coaches, and is generally considered to be gold standard in the coaching industry.

The GPCC certification means that I am trained in the Gestalt approach. (See Question 3 below for more on what that means.)

2) Why are these credentials important?

These credentials ensure you that I am operating under a rigid code of ethics which protects you and the information that you share with me. It also guarantees that I have been trained, evaluated, and certified as skilled in the process of creating transformative change in the clients I work with.

At the moment, coaching is a wide open field where anyone can hang up a shingle and say they are a “coach”. Credentialing is not a requirement as of yet. But someday soon, it will be, so I made sure that I was meeting the highest levels of credentials and training available when I made this career move several years ago.

3) What does it mean to be a Gestalt-trained coach?

Simply put, I work with you in the present moment with a holistic mind/body/spirit approach to access the wisdom and power that already exists within you.

“Gestalt approach has the basic premise that life happens in the present…and that when we are dwelling on the past or fantasizing about the future we are not living fully. Through living in the present we are able to take responsibility for our responses and actions. To be fully present in the here and now offers us more excitement, energy, and courage to live life directly.” - Gestalt Institute of Cleveland’s website

4) Why should I hire a coach?

I’m betting that there are some areas in your life where you are stuck, where you just can’t get to the place where you want to be. A coach won’t do the work for you or tell you what to do, but here what a coach will do:

  • A coach is a confidant, providing a safe space where there is no judgment…only support.

  • A coach helps you create a vision for what you really want.

  • A coach helps you let go of your limiting beliefs and your inner critic.

  • A coach helps you create your version of life balance.

  • A coach helps you see life (and your problems) in a different way.

  • A coach keeps you accountable…to you.

  • A coach helps you access your own creativity and wisdom.

  • A coach helps you believe in yourself.

  • A coach helps you achieve actionable goals.

5) What is the difference between a therapist and a coach?

Both a therapist and a coach help you to create a life in present time that works better for you. Simply put, here is the primary difference: a therapist often will delve into your past to help you gain a deeper understanding of the underlying causes of your present situation. A coach is more present-oriented, inviting you to create action steps which will move you towards your goal.

6) Can you describe how you work?

All coaching sessions take place on Zoom, an easy-to-use video chat app which allows you to be in the privacy of your own space. Each session is directed towards a stated outcome…something you want to resolve or accomplish, leaving you with clarity about what you are going to do next. You will leave each session with clarified insights and action steps.

I offer several coaching packages, one of which is certain to meet your scope and financial needs.

8) Why call yourself a Mindset & Creativity Coach?

In my past professional life, I was the Owner and Lead Creative for two different 7-figure creative businesses. One was in commercial interior design; the other was an artisanal fashion design company. While I do consider these to be major accomplishments, I now understand that my success was based on the inner mindset habits that I have developed as much as on the design and business skills that I have.

I am passionate about working with successful professional women who have “made it” on paper, but who find themselves exhausted from self-doubt and the need to continually prove themselves…somehow they are never enough.

Mindset transformation is needed to create the changes in your outer world that you desire. As a Mindset & Creativity coach, I offer a unique set of skills with combine transformational coaching skills with in-depth creative business experience.

I bring over 30 years of creative entrepreneurship experience from owning and managing two 7-figure businesses. My business background along with expert coaching skills create the results you long for. Knowing you are enough. Owning your unique brilliance. Having a roadmap for “what’s next” in your life.

Creativity involves breaking out of established patterns in order to look at things a different way.

9) How do I know that I will get results?

I like to say that “life is an inside job”. You will get results if you are willing and ready to commit to making changes in your life. That, I can guarantee.
